Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is RCO?

RCO (Real Combat Online) is a web-based magazine dedicated to presenting information about truth and reality in the fighting arts.

Why an “online” magazine?

Online magazines have a lot of advantages. Like paper-based magazines, readers can access information easily and efficiently from any computer worldwide. They can also download most information with any printer. However, the greatest advantage is the interactivity factor. Good web magazines allow the reader multiple levels of interaction with the information online, something hard copy magazines simply cannot provide. In addition, digital information media is easy to update and change. As a result online magazines are more conducive to reader input because they are data based information systems. Because of this you can directly influence both the content and direction of the magazine much faster and more efficiently than most hard copy magazines.

What is meant by the term “Real Combat?”

Webster’s dictionary defines combat as “a conflict or fight between individuals or groups” and real is defined as “not artificial or fraudulent but genuine.” The word combat implies anything that has to do with conflict, confrontation and fighting in all its manifestations. RCO magazine deals with all areas of interpersonal confrontation from verbal self-defense tactics to armed multiple assailant warfare, thus the “Real Combat” name.

Why should I subscribe to RCO Magazine when some other newsletters and web sites are free?

First of all because RCO is a magazine and not just a website or a newsletter. Sure there are other “Free” Sites out there but you get what you pay for. They can’t compete with the quality and value you get with RCO Magazine. We offer more services, more interaction, and more valuable information than any other online site in existence today. Can you afford not to subscribe to RCO?

How do I contribute to the evolution of Real Combat Online?

For now the easiest way for you to participate in teh development and evolution of RCO Magazine is though the RCO Forums. There you can express your opinions and tell us what you like or dislike. In the near future you will be able to directly participate in the EVOLUTION section of the magazine where your emails and answers to the questions have a direct impact on what you will see in future issues. In any case, you participate indirectly every time you answer a poll or an interactive program that data is collected and evaluated and our forum is monitored for trends and topics.
